Leonidas Ground-Based Counter-Electronics System

Epirus
LEONIDAS® COUNTER-ELECTRONICS
Our Leonidas family of products utilizes solid-state, software-defined high-power microwave (HPM) technology to enable unmatched counter-electronics effects for a range of use cases. Counter-UAS will be the first mission application of our systems, but our technology is effective against a range of electronic threats beyond just drones.

Ground-based counter-electronics system with unrivaled power and precision.
Leonidas is a counter-electronics system with the power and precision to neutralize a single system in tight, crowded spaces or disable multiple threats across a wide area. Epirus' revolutionary approach to directed energy allows for unmatched counter-electronics effects, dramatically reduces the size and weight of the system and enables greater operator control and safety. Mounted on a gimble to increase maneuverability, the system can be deployed on a base or alongside a mobile unit, enabling rapid response.

The U.S. Army has awarded Epirus a $66 million contract for Leonidas, in support of the Indirect Fire Protection Capability-High-Power Microwave Program

Technology Differentiators

Size, Weight & Power (SWaP)
Traditional HPM is decades-old, bulky technology that requires a team of people to operate. At Epirus, we've designed our HPM system to be easily maneuverable, upgradable and operated with just a few people.

Software-Defined
With waveform optimization and more efficient firing tactics, we are able to increase range via software, without costly hardware redesigns. Our system gets smarter and more effective with every test.

Human Safe
Low operating voltages, the lack of ionizing radiation, and the ability to software control safe-zones means that our Leonidas HPM systems are safe for both people and friendly assets.

Modular & Scalable
Our unique design leverages line replaceable amplifier modules (LRAMs). This modular approach allows us to rapidly develop new form factors and install system upgrades in unprecedented timeframes.

Open API
Leonidas can integrate with a variety of command and control (C2) systems due to its open architecture. This includes FAAD C2, used by the Army for c-UAS and other forms of air defense.
