The RAZOR MK II Bio Threat Identification system is a PCR-based instrument used to process and read biological threat samples. There are different consumable assay kits (panels) used to detect a broad grouping of probable pathogenic causes in a single, rapid test. Identifies biological agents using PCR technology; this provides ultra-reliable DNA based lab analysis in the field. Samples are collected and prepared using the panels and then brought to the RAZOR MK II system for analysis and automatic detection/identification. The system is compact and battery powered with an onboard computer providing everything you need for testing in the field. Created for first responders and front line military troops, this system comes with large push buttons and simple user interface making it easy to operate while working in protective equipment. Analysis time in the RAZOR is ~30 minutes, not including sample collection and prep.
